The Creative Behind the Brand

Hey, I’m Jacinta — designer, photographer, and brand strategist.

Studio Behana is a Cairns and Port Douglas creative agency with a boutique, hands-on approach.

I help thoughtful, small business owners create brands that look beautiful, feel aligned, and work in the real world. Based in Far North Queensland and working with clients across Australia, I bring design, photography, and content together so your brand shows up with clarity and ease.

How I got here

Like many creatives, I started with a deep love for design and photography — then took the “real job” route for a while. When the world flipped during 2020, I returned to my creative roots, completed my studies in a Diploma of Graphic Design and Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging, and launched Studio Behana with a clear intention: bring strategy and artistry together, and make the process feel calm and collaborative.

Why 'Studio Behana'?

I chose the name Studio Behana as a tribute to the tropical North Queensland lifestyle I love—lush rainforests, coastal calm, and a sense of laid-back beauty that’s unique to this part of the world.

Behana Gorge, just south of Cairns, felt like the perfect namesake. I may not be there every weekend, but the name captures the essence I wanted my studio to reflect: grounded in nature, elevated in creativity, and unmistakably inspired by FNQ. It’s a nod to the rainforest-meets-reef energy that runs through my work—a reminder that your brand can feel like a breath of fresh, tropical air.

When I'm Not Designing or Shooting...

You'll usually find me:

Wandering the beach collecting seashells (yep, I’ve got quite the collection)

Camping up the coast or exploring the Daintree

Spending time around commercial fishing boats, thanks to my partner who works on a crayfishing boat—I know that world well

Listening to country classics and 60s-80s bangers while working on your brand

My Approach

I don’t believe in quick fixes or cookie-cutter design. Instead, I get to know your business inside and out, so we can build something that’s truly aligned—with where you’re at and where you’re headed.

I combine years of creative training (hello, dual diplomas in Graphic Design + Photography) with genuine curiosity about your story, your audience, and your goals.

You’ll work directly with one dedicated creative expert who guides you through every step—from brand strategy to custom design, websites, photography, and social media content.
